<description>Great article. We have been running a seminar on e-Commerce for many years now and it never ceases to amaze the audience when we tell them that their web presence is “their shopfront window display” and that its “a 24/7 business they need to be prepared to deal with”.

The notion of “build it and they will come” is still being touted by web developers (newbies) so it’s good to see some balancing comments about ALL the tricks you need to draw people to a site.

We have been very active in writing feature articles and contributing to newsgroups and industry associations on “content” that classifies as focused advertorial content and that has generated significant leads for us for many years in a very difficult environment where our new client base wants our tools advice and services for free!
